Each summer, Rejina returns to Seoul. Closely connected to her life and work, the city becomes the setting for a new creative series made with photographer Kerry J Dean.

Set among shuttered storefronts, tiled walls and fragments of urban architecture, the series portrays women of Seoul in the overlooked corners of a city in constant motion. Styled by Naomi Miller, the collection takes on unexpected shapes and silhouettes, while the individuality of each woman remains at the centre of the image.

Dean’s intimate, off-centre compositions move between portraiture, abstraction and documentary observation. Rather than attempting to define Seoul, the series offers a subjective view of the city, bringing Rejina’s relationship with it into Kerry’s distinctive photographic world.
