Rejina Pyo 86 Presents

In The Noise I Almost Remember You
Lena C. Emery

Rejina Pyo is pleased to present In the Noise I Almost Remember You, an exhibition by artist and photographer Lena C. Emery, opening today.

Bringing together works across multiple series, the exhibition offers an expansive view of Emery’s photographic practice. Defined by a quiet, sensorial quality, her work explores themes of place, perception and belonging — where figures and landscapes appear suspended between presence and absence, and urban and natural environments become shifting emotional terrains rather than fixed backdrops.

Born in Germany and raised across Europe and Asia, Emery’s work reflects a deep sensitivity to movement, memory and the emotional resonance of space. Her images hover between disconnection and return, holding moments of distance and intimacy in suspension. Rather than offering resolution, the work invites a closer attention to the fragile relationship between body, environment and memory.

As Emery writes:

“We learn to belong to the city, and slowly we forget what it means to belong to the Earth.”

Selected works from the exhibition, alongside special edition prints, framed artworks and art books, will be available at the exhibition.

In the Noise I Almost Remember You will be on view from
